The Commonwealth Government Child Care Subsidy (CSS) is designed to make accessing high-quality childcare easy and more affordable for families.
Knowing how to maximize the subsidy is key to ensuring your child can spend valuable time in care, supporting essential learning and development.
We acknowledge that understanding the system and accessing your entitlements can be overwhelming. Please reach out; we’re here to help.
Recognizing the current cost of living crisis, we empathize with families. To provide additional support, we offer flexible sessions, ensuring you use your eligible hours without exceeding the CCS-covered hours. This way, you won’t be out of pocket!
What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?
The childcare subsidy is a financial assistance to help families cover the cost of child care.
How much you receive depends on a number of factors, including your family’s income, the age of your child, and the paid and unpaid activities, like your job or volunteer work, your family is involved in.
Extra support is available for some families, such as grandparents and great grandparents, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and families experiencing temporary financial hardship.
The CSS is paid directly to providers (Childcare Service) to reduce the out of pocket fees families pay, therefore making childcare more affordable.
